How soon should I book your services?
“Sooner is better than later!” We book Full and Partial Wedding Planning packages well in advance (up to two years) but only book Day of Coordination / DOC packages up to one year in advance.

How much notice do you need to book Day of Coordinator Services?

What is required for booking your services?
We require a signed contract and a non-refundable $100 deposit to book our Day of Coordination Services (Something Blue/Something Old/Something Borrowed/Something New) and a 30% non-refundable deposit to book our Full or Partial Service Planning Package (Silver Sixpence.)

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept personal checks, money orders, bank/certified checks, and Debit/Credit payments through Paypal.com. If you would like to pay via Paypal, please contact us in advance.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Deposits are not refundable. However, any payments made towards our services are fully refundable up to three (3) months prior to your event with written notice.

Are there discounts for “off-season” brides?
For our January 1 through March 1 brides, we provide a discount of 15% off our Something Blue and Something Old packages only.

How do I order products and other creative services ?
Please contact us with all your questions, and a representative will gladly provide a quote, delivery estimation, and other details.

Do you work with an assistant?
Depending on your needs, we will provide an assistant for an additional fee.

What happens if my Coordinator is sick?
We will be sure to provide you with an alternate coordinator should the need arise. You will be notified in advance and the replacement coordinator will be well informed of your needs.

Can I add products or services after I’ve signed the contract?
Of course you can! We will work with you to suit your needs and draft another contract if necessary.

Do you offer product or service package discounts?
The more the better! We will discount high quantities.

How many hours are included on the day of the wedding?
Our standard packages include 10 hours of service on the day of your wedding.

What about tipping?
We get this question a lot! As with other vendors who are out there working hard to make sure your day is everything you dreamed of, gratuities are of course appreciated, but certainly not a requirement.

What benefits do I have for using your “preferred vendors?”
We pride ourselves on reputation and excellent service. Our preferred vendors may offer a discount at their discretion should you mention that you are a client of ours.

What is the best way to contact?
We prefer email as it enables us to keep your information organized best. We will respond to all emails within 24-hours during the week and within 48-hours on weekends as we are often working at this time.

What is the difference between a Day of Coordinator and a Bridal Attendant, Event Coordinator, or Banquet Manager provided to me by my reception site?
A Bridal Attendant, Event Coordinator, or Banquet Manager provided to you by your site is employed by your reception site. They will ensure that your reception runs smoothly while you are at the venue. They are employed by the reception site and not by you personally and are limited to what services they can extend to you.

A Day of Coordinator (DOC) is employed by you solely and will work with you during the entire duration of planning and will be with you from the moment you wake up in the morning to the moment you lay to rest at the end of your special day. We will be the point-person for yourself, guests, and vendors should any problems arise. We are capable of being “your brain” for the entire day.

Registering Your Marriage

It is important to understand the dynamics of the legal system to get a gist of how and when to register your marriage. This will equip you with the necessary knowledge of how to go about setting your civil marriage solemnization, religious ceremony and reception dates. Knowing the time factor requirements for the solemnization of your wedding will help you avoid any unintended situations in which you have to re-schedule or delay your religious ceremonies, receptions and other engagements. The following illustrates the process of filing a solemnization date by the Registry of Marriages, Singapore. Detailed requirements for the filing of your marriage can be found on the Registry of Marriages, Singapore website.

Non-Islamic Marriages
Irrespective of whether you decide to register your marriage directly at the Registry of Marriages (ROM) venue, or at a religious venue, it is imperative that you file a notice of your civil marriage at least 21 days before the actual solemnization date. You are able to then register a date for solemnization between 21 days and 3 months after filing for a notice of marriage. If you are getting married within the premises of the ROM, you may be able to change solemnization details until the day of the ceremony before the wedding. However, if you are getting married at a venue that’s outside of the ROM, you can change the date of solemnization up until 5-10 days before. You cannot change the date of solemnization to one that is beyond 3 months of filing the notice. You are only able to solemnize your wedding at the ROM venue from Mondays to Fridays.

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to go to the NRD counter/Assistant Registrar appointed by the Malaysian Consul/Embassy with the following supporting documents:

1. Identity card
2. Passport for foreign citizens
3. 1 coloured photo (32mm X 38mm)
4. Consensus form /licence (if relevant)
5. Birth certificate (for applicants 16-20 years old)
6. Death certificate (if relevant) Letter confirming marital status (single)

If divorced:

1. Letter confirming marital status after divorce (original)
2. Decree nisi for absolute divorce (original & photocopy)

Conditions of Application
Normal marriage:

* Application will be displayed for 21 days from the date of application
* Complete Form JPN.KCO2 and attach supporting documents
* Payment: RM30.00

Marriage by special licence:

* Application of marriage without notification (21 days) and declaration of marriage
* Must obtain approval from the Assistant Registrar General/ Registrar General/State Superintendent/Minister/Menteri Besar
* Complete Form JPN.KCO2 and KCO1C (special licence) and attach supporting documents
* Payment:
JPN.KCO1C: RM100
Processing Fee: RM20.00

Do note that you cannot cancel a notice of marriage as well. As written on the Registry of Marriage, Singapore website, the Singapore law states that ‘If the marriage does not take place within 3 months after the date of notice, the notice and all proceedings consequent thereupon shall be void, and fresh notice shall be given before the parties can lawfully marry.’ Hence, if you are not able to solemnize your wedding within the three months, you will have to once again file for a notice of marriage at the ROM.

Islamic Marriages
When registering your marriage at the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM), you would have to file a notification of marriage a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 150 days before the date you wish to get solemnized. You can change the date of solemnization within the 7 to 150 day time frame from the date you registered the notice of marriage. If you wish to change the solemnization date beyond the 150 days, you will have to re-register your notice of marriage. If you have both made a decision to cancel your solemnization, both you and your partner would have to come down to the ROMM and cancel it in the presence of a Kadi.
